Most people know that recycling plays an important role in managing the garbage generated in homes and businesses, and that it reduces the need for landfills But recycling is far more than a local waste management strategy; it is also an important strategy for reducing the environmental impacts of industrial production. Supplying industry with recycled materials, rather than virgin resources extracted from forests and mines, is environmentally preferable because it saves energy, reduces emissions of greenhouse gases and other dangerous air and water pollutants, and because it conserves scarce natural resources.
We are the only Puget Sound area shredding company that owns its own recycle facility. This allows us to control the product from start to finish; all the way from your facilities to the paper mills that recycle the material. We also are able to mix the destroyed material with other paper that comes in from residential and commercial routes throughout
Much of the shredded paper will be brought to Pacific Disposal's Recycling Facility in Lacey, Washington within Thurston County. LeMay will be responsible for the marketing of all recyclable materials collected from your facilities. The material will be mixed with other commercial and residential paper bailed and sent to mills for recycle. |
